The scan is free and unlimited because its measurements run on your own device. The Pro review is a one-time payment of $10 for one full review checked by a human reviewer, plus 3 free revision scans after your changes to see your progress. There's no subscription, nothing to cancel and no extra charges.
Is the Pro review just AI?+
No. Our custom AI algorithm drafts your Pro review in about a minute, so you can start right away. Then a real person on our review team checks it against your photos, flags anything the AI got wrong or missed, and adds their own notes, usually within 48 hours. You'll get an email when they're done. Your revision scans are AI-only, so they're back in about a minute.
What are the free revision scans?+
Every Pro review comes with 3 free revision scans, so checking your progress never costs extra. Each time you make changes from your plan, scan the same profile again and choose Revision scan: the AI compares the new version with your Pro review and marks each step as done, partly done or not yet, with your updated scores. When you're done, your final scan can go up against your first in a before vs after battle.
Can I get a refund?+
No. Every sale is final, because your Pro review starts as soon as you pay. If something goes wrong on our side and you don't get what you paid for, we'll fix it, or refund you if we can't. The refund policy, linked at the bottom of every page, has the details.
Can I trust the scores?+
Yes, because they're repeatable. The scan measures your photos on your own device, so the same photos always get the same measurements. The AI review follows a fixed scoring rubric, and if you scan the exact same profile again you get the same review back, not a new roll of the dice. Change something and you get a fresh review, so you can see what moved. And we never score looks.
What are before vs after battles?+
A Pro feature that tests your changes with real people. After your Pro review, save your first scan as your before. When you've finished fixing your profile, launch your final revision scan against it: strangers on Firstframe pick the profile they'd rather talk to without knowing which is which, and you see who wins, by how much and why. You can also battle two of your photos to pick a lead. Voting is open to everyone and anonymous. You confirm the photos are yours before a battle starts, anyone can report one, and photos are deleted after the battle ends.
Do you use AI to change my face?+
Never. Photo fixes only correct light, color, sharpness and framing, the same edits you'd make in a photo editor, applied evenly to the whole photo. We don't smooth skin, reshape anything or generate new photos of you. Face detection only helps center the crop; it never changes how you look.
How do I know the changes actually worked?+
Your account can track real-world results: log your likes, matches or profile views each week, mark the day you changed your profile, and see the before and after side by side. With a Pro review, we also email you a check-in about a month later: tell us how it's going and our custom AI algorithm suggests one small adjustment based on your numbers.
What's the difference between the free scan and Pro?+
The free scan measures your photos and checks your writing on your own device: a score, a ranked fix list and one-tap photo fixes. Pro adds a custom AI algorithm: every photo gets a verdict and a fix, your best photo order and missing shots, three rewrites in different tones, a step-by-step plan for your goal and goal-specific extras like openers or headline options. A human reviewer then checks it and adds their own notes.
Do you store my photos?+
Not for free scans. The measurements run on your device. Want your photos and words to stay on your phone? Keep the scan on your device. For a Pro review, a person has to see your photos, so the downscaled copies are stored privately for your reviewer and deleted 30 days after the human review, or sooner if you delete them from your account page. Saved scans keep scores, fixes and text, never photos.
Do I need an account?+
No. Scanning works without one. A free account (just an email code, no password) saves your scans so you can watch your score change and track your real-world results and keeps your Pro reviews, reviewer notes and revision scans. You can delete it and everything in it anytime.
Does it judge how I look?+
No. Firstframe scores presentation you control: your photos and your words. It never rates attractiveness and never guesses your age, ethnicity or anything else about who you are. Human reviewers follow the same rules.
Is Firstframe for people like me?+
Yes. It works for any gender, orientation, age, skin tone and goal, whether you're dating, job hunting or growing an audience. It never scores looks or guesses who you are. Photo fixes adjust the whole photo evenly, so they never lighten skin, and exposure is measured against the scene rather than your skin tone, so darker skin isn't flagged as underexposed.
Will this guarantee more matches or a job?+
No tool can promise that. Firstframe improves what's in your control: clear photos, a readable bio and a profile aimed at your goal. People still decide for themselves.
